The Clay Series

I am captivated by the human form, by the way that a gesture can speak to us. The clay series creates a sculpted visual utilizing a model as a base and adding elements of the earth such as clay, mud, seeds, flowers, sticks and powders to the subject. In doing so what begins and a simple nude turns into a work of art and a visually dynamic image. Organic in nature and unusual in style the clay series takes the viewer into a world where beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the combination of elements creates a sculptural and emotive image.
